How has your life changed or been affected because of COVID-19?
I was out of work for a month since my partner tested positive and we had to be quarantined. We are doing well now, but transitioning into this new online style was a process. I think we are used to it now and we are making the best of it!
How are your classes and studies going since the move to online learning?
In the beginning, it was tough to communicate with my professors, but after a few emails, everything was fine. I actually enjoy learning at my own pace. It takes a lot more discipline and the hard part is when you have questions, there is no one there to answer immediately so I just learn to be patient. What do you miss most about NCC?
The thing that I miss the most about NCC is the ability to have class and interact with the professors and students in person. It makes a big difference and for a subject like math, I think it is easier to do it in a classroom setting. I also just miss the feeling itself of being in college. It gives me motivation to be in a place where I know people are learning and professors are teaching.
