November 10th: Annual Meeting and 50th Anniversary Thank You Celebration

Guest Speaker: Rachael Lederman DiPietro, A.S., B.A., M.A.
NCC Foundation LEAP Scholarship Recipient

Rachael Lederman DiPietro graduated from NCC in May 2012 with an Associate in Science degree and a reputation for being a leader on campus. She received an NCC Foundation LEAP Scholarship in 2012 and 2013 which supported her tuition at Trinity College, Hartford where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies with a Minor in Community Action in May 2015.

Most recently, in May 2016, Rachael graduated with a Masters of Arts from Teachers College at Columbia University in New York where her focus was on Higher and Postsecondary Education. Since October, 2013, Ms. DiPietro has been an active member of CT Students for a Dream, a group of undocumented Connecticut students who fought, lobbied, testified and told their personal stories to legislators in order to gain support for an In-State Tuition Bill.

Rachael is currently the Program Coordinator of the Community College Scholars Program, a grant funded initiative aimed at increasing the retention and graduation rates of full-time, first-year college students at Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury, CT.
