Foundation Partners with Brookfield Property Partners to Support Future Retail Workforce

As stores hire up, retailers rise up for future workforce challenges: In an effort to create an employment feeder for the SoNo Collection’s stores and others with near-term needs, Brookfield Property Partners (formerly GGP) is investing $250,000, through the NCC Foundation, to create a retail customer service certificate program at Norwalk Community College, with this year’s session starting up Oct. 9 and running 6 to 9 p.m. over 10 sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The cost is $25 to enroll, with information online at Norwalk.edu/extended-studies or via phone at 203-857-7237.

Graduate Noah Andrew Ruffin from Norwalk gets his Retail Customer Service Certificate from Douglas T. Adams, GGP Senior Director and NCC President Dr. David Levinson when the Norwalk Community College and the Norwalk Community College Foundation, in partnership with Brookfield Property Partners (formerly General Growth Partners), held their first graduation ceremony to recognize graduates of its first Retail Customer Service and Sales certificate program in January 2018.
