Scholarships for when you graduate from NCC

The Foundation offers three transfer scholarships for NCC graduates: LEAP, Dream, and RN to BSN.

LEAP Scholarship Information

Scholarship awards are based on available funding and unmet need and are renewable for three additional semesters if you meet academic criteria. Students who are awarded grants will be expected to:

Maintain 1/2, 3/4, or full-time enrollment at a four-year school
Complete and sign an agreement and a survey
Submit a photo to share with donors

Keep in touch with the NCC Foundation with any changes throughout the year
Provide unofficial transcripts at the end of each academic semester
Be available to meet with donors of the LEAP Transfer Scholarship Program

When to apply

The 2022-23 LEAP Transfer Scholarship application period has ended. Next application period will open April 1, 2023 and close June 2, 2023. This scholarship is for students graduating from NCC between May, 2022 and May, 2023, who wish to transfer to a four-year school for the 2023-2024 academic year. You must apply within one year of your graduation from NCC.

Transfer scholarships are not open to International (F-1 VISA) students.

To apply you must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident ONLY
  • Have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA upon graduation from NCC
  • Have applied for graduation at NCC
  • Have applied to and/or been accepted to a 4-year institution and receive a financial aid package (OK to submit after application deadline)
  • Write an essay about your NCC experience and future goals (submit by deadline)
  • Submit a copy of your tuition & fees from your 4-year institution
  • Submit your Financial Aid Package received from your 4-year institution (or submit Student Financial Worksheet if you haven’t received your package yet)
  • Submit FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR)
  • Submit your NCC transcript
  • Submit three letters of recommendation with at least two from NCC faculty or staff (submit by deadline)

The NCC Foundation Scholarship Committee reviews all applications and selects potential recipients for an interview. Following the interview process, students are selected to receive an award.

If you are awarded a scholarship, the funds will be sent directly to the transfer school to be used for tuition and fees. Funds may not reach your institution by the time your spring tuition is due. Please plan accordingly.

DREAM Scholarship Information

Work with a mentor provided by the Foundation for the duration of your scholarship

Next application period will open April 1, 2023 and close June 2, 2023.This scholarship is open for students graduating from NCC between May, 2022 and May, 2023, who wish to transfer to a four-year school for the 2023-2024 academic year. You must apply within one year of your graduation from NCC.

Transfer scholarships are not open to International (F-1 VISA) students.

To apply you must:

  • Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA upon graduating NCC
  • Be a childhood immigrant who graduated from a U.S. high school, but you are not yet a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident ONLY
  • Have applied for graduation at NCC
  • Have applied to and/or been accepted to a 4-year institution
  • Submit a copy of your tuition & fees from your 4-year institution
  • Submit your Financial Aid Package received from your 4-year institution (or submit Student Financial Worksheet if you haven’t received your package yet)
  • Submit FAFSA Student Aid Report (students with SSNs) OR download an Income Verification Form, complete and UPLOAD into application (submit by deadline)
  • Submit your NCC Transcript
  • Write an essay about your NCC experience and future goals (submit by deadline)
  • Submit three letters of recommendation with at least two from NCC faculty or staff (submit by deadline)
  • Agree to participate in a mentoring program if you get the scholarship (optional)

You must apply within three years of your graduation from NCC. Students who are awarded grants will be expected to:

Provide unofficial transcripts at the end of each academic semester
Be available to meet with donors of the RN to BSN Transfer Scholarship Program

When to apply

The 2022-23 RN to BSN Transfer Scholarship application period has ended. Next application period will open April 1, 2023 and close June 2, 2023. This scholarship is open for students graduating from NCC between May, 2020 and May, 2023, who wish to transfer to a four-year school for the 2023-2024 academic year. You must apply within three years of your graduation from NCC.

Transfer scholarships are not open to International (F-1 VISA) students.

To apply you must:

  • NO minimum GPA requirement!
  • Have graduated from NCC and passed the NCLEX, or have plans to take the NCLEX
  • Have applied and/or been accepted to a 4-year institution and received a financial aid package (can be submitted after application deadline)
  • Write an essay about your NCC experience, why you have chosen your field and future goals (submit by deadline)
  • Submit a copy of your tuition & fees from your 4-year institution
  • Submit your Financial Aid Package received from your 4-year institution (or submit Student Financial Worksheet if you haven’t received your package yet)
  • Submit FAFSA Student Aid Report (submit Income Verification Form if not eligible for FAFSA)
  • Submit your NCC Transcript
